FIESTAS DE LA MISERICORDIA DE BURRIANA 2009
L’Alternativa, La Misericordia, Els Braus i Els Jovens del Bou triunfan en el VII Concurso de Toros
L’Alternativa, La Misericordia, Els Braus i Els Jovens del Bou son las peñas triunfadoras del VII Concurso de Toros Misericordia 2009 que, un año más, ha organizado la Penya de Penyes de Burriana. Los galardones se dieron a conocer el pasado sábado en un acto que tuvo lugar en el Llar Fallero y que estuvo presidido por el alcalde de Burriana, José Ramón Calpe; el edil de Fiestas, Pedro Sancerní; y las reinas falleras, Sara Bodí y Ana Tejedo.
La tradicional gala, que fue conducida por Roberto Blanch y Patricia Rodríguez, comenzó con un emotivo homenaje a la Asociación de Vecinos de Santa Bárbara en el año de su 25 aniversario. Tras recibir este reconocimiento, el colectivo ofreció a la Penya de Penyes un trozo de cuerda de la primera exhibición del Congreso Nacional del Toro de Cuerda celebrada en Beas de Segura en señal de agradecimiento.
A continuación, se desvelaron los premios del Concurso de Ganaderías en las diferentes categorías: Mejor Vaca para “Mexicana”, de La Espuela; Mejor Toro, para “Primero” de Nacho Claramonte; y Mejor Ganadería para El Castell.
Para finalizar se dieron a conocer los premios del VII Concurso de Toros Misericordia 2009 ante la expectativa de los peñistas presentes en la cena-homenaje. El premio al Mejor Toro Trofeo Juan Abad Huguet “Mosquit” fue para la peña l’Alternativa gracias al toro “Colores” de la ganadería de Aldeaquemada; el de Mejor Toro Presentado recayó en el Concha y Sierra de la peña Els Braus; el de Mejor Salida, para el cerril financiado por Els Jovens del Bou marcado con el hierro de Albarreal; mientras que el Trofeo al Mejor Toro Embolado fue otorgado al Santiago Domecq de la peña Misericordia.
La velada concluyó con los parlamentos de Vicente Archelós, presidente de la Penya de Penyes, quién tuvo unas bonitas palabras hacia Juan Abad Huguet “Mosquit”, recientemente fallecido, y que tanto ha trabajado por la celebración del bou per la vila en Burriana. Por su parte, el alcalde agradeció a todas las peñas su trabajo y felicitó a la Asociación de Vecinos de Santa Bárbara por el homenaje y por conseguir que Burriana sea en el año 2010 sede del Congreso Nacional del Toro en Cuerda.
